Colorado’s second largest mountain has something to offer all levels of downhill skier, snowboarder or cross country skier. Even the most discriminating alpine skier is sure to be entertained. Steamboat is actually a complete mountain range: Mount Werner, Sunshine Peak, Storm Peak, Thunderhead Peak, Pioneer Ridge and Christie Peak. 2,965 acres of permitted terrain offers a diversity of trails for all levels of ability. In northwest Colorado, Steamboat’s base elevation is 6,900 feet, the top elevation is 10,568 feet. Average snowfall is 339 inches.
