Aosta, Italy is the city at the convergence of 2 rivers forming the beautiful Aosta Valley in the Italian Alps. Founded by the Romans over 2,000 years ago the city is now a modern, vibrant trading center but the Roman influence is still present with ancient walls and architecture still visible. The Europe Hotel is located in the city center within easy walking distance to each end of town – shops, museums, tours, bars all close by. The ski area of Pila can be reached by gondola – only a few blocks away. At Pila the ski terrain and views are spectacular. The more adventurous can take a 1 hour trip to the Mont Blanc ski area and Courmayer “The pearl of the Alps.” The skiing and shopping are labeled the “5th Avenue” or the best in Europe. While in Aosta, there’s plenty to do – Florida Ski Council parties and a mountain lunch, not to mention optional daily activities of your choice.

Rome is one of the greatest cities in history. There’s the Spanish Steps, St. Peter’s Basilica, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Coliseum, gardens and villas, shopping, Rome’s cuisine, nightlife and the Traffic!! Our Rome adventure begins on Thursday, the 10th, with a train trip from Milan through central Italy where we can relax and enjoy the scenery over a bottle (or two) of wine, cheese and crisp bread. Upon arrival in Rome we transfer to our hotel, unpack, clean up and experience a night out on our own to dine at a local trattoria. The next day a 3 hour tour of the city and places of interest will help us get our bearings. During the rest of our Roman holiday (3 days) many of us will go back to do tours or sightsee what we want to as time permits. In the evenings we will meet at the hotel for happy hour and conversation before dinner with friends.
