Quebec City & Montreal, Canada

February 10-19, 2008

Florida Ski Council Trip

Spend Valentine’s day 2008 in the capitol of Quebec and help celebrate its 400 year anniversary!  Standing on a bluff overlooking the mighty St. Lawrence River, our hotel, five- star Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac http://www.fairmont.com/frontenac is located in the heart of Old Quebec, with accommodations of an unparalleled level of luxury and service. The atmosphere of continental Europe lives on in this romantic city. Can’t you just picture yourself strolling the narrow cobblestone streets, looking for treasure in the charming shops and sampling the fine cuisine in the many bistros, cafes and gourmet restaurants?  The timing of our trip is perfect. The famous Quebec winter carnival will be Feb. 1-17.  Did you ever imagine dancing under the stars in your snow suit? You will get your chance at the outdoor dance parties. There will also be ice-skating and for the thrill seekers a 500 foot zipline that will give a great view of the carnival. Or hurtle down the slopes with your friends in a raft that seats 12. Laughter and bouncing guaranteed!  In the heart of all that action you can relax in a tent that recreates a pub atmosphere with guest D.J.’s . As part of the anniversary celebration there will be a snow sculpting event, a painting symposium where you can meet international artists who will paint masterpieces before your eyes, canoe races and much more.  Then of course, there is the world class skiing and snowboarding!  Located just 20 to 30 minutes from the City are 3 ski resorts, Stoneham, Mont-Sainte-Anne and Le Relais. Mont-Sainte-Anne hosts international ski- and snowboarding events. Le Massif, home of the national ski  training center is 45 minutes east of the city. We have it on good authority that the skiing is excellent. Click on the link to get the details. http://www.skisnowquebec-city.com
